Atherton Dance Centre is owned by Ruth Horrocks, an ex Champoinship dancer, who has been teaching dancing for over 40 years. She opened the dance centre in Atherton in 1994. She is a Fellow and Examiner with the United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing as well as a championship adjudicator and coach.
At the centre we specialise in Ballroom & Latin American Dancing, at all levels from the beginner social dancer to Dancesport Competitor. We have a large main ballroom plus 2 smaller studios. We have a friendly family atmosphere and our qualified teachers are ready to make you feel at home and help you get the most out of your dancing.
6 Bullough St
We have only one class at a time in each room, so you will have full use of the floor and music, with no distractions, and personal attention as required.
After your class you may practice in the main ballroom for the rest of the evening where help is always at hand if you need it.
At the centre we have a soft drinks bar serving tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fizzy drinks, bottled water, snacks and crisps. If you need anything stronger please feel free to bring it with you.
